We’re a finalist in the UK IT Industry Awards 2019.
I’m pleased to announce that we’ve been selected as a finalist in the UK IT Industry Awards 2019 for our new Digital Merchant Platform in the “Best Use of Cloud Services” category.
I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone in the Digital Products Team for getting us here!
The platform we’re building is cloud-native from the ground up and enables consistent user experiences over multiple channels. It’s fully integrated with on-premise legacy enterprise systems via an abstracted integration layer, leverages some pretty cool tech to solve real business problems and separated into four constituent parts:
- Products (delivering the experiences) – React
- API (exposing data and capabilities) – GraphQL
- Microservices (containing the business logic and data) – Springboot, Kafka
- Foundation (providing a resilient, high performance base) – Kubernetes, Istio, Vault
The Digital Engagement Platform
The first phase was delivered on time and within budget by a newly formed in-house and near-shore collaboration in an agile, product-centric way.
We hope to have laid the foundations for changing the face of builders’ merchants over the next few years.
